The Challenge

Abyssus is a fine dining and cocktail bar concept nestled along the iconic coast of Positano, Italy. The objective was to build a brand identity that captures the mystery of Mediterranean maritime folklore while delivering a high-end, immersive luxury experience.

The Execution

Conceived as an intimate, nocturnal sanctuary, the brand architecture deliberately targets high-net-worth gastronomy connoisseurs. The visual strategy rejects traditional coastal aesthetics, anchoring itself instead on a palette of absolute black, deep abyssal teal, and metallic bronze.

The core emblem draws from classical engravings of Poseidon and the fluid motion of the Kraken, distilled into a balanced, commanding circular mark. The display serif typography utilizes expressive ligatures to mimic both ocean waves and classic Italian heritage.

Design here acts as physical friction. Custom gold trident picks holding caviar-stuffed olives force the patron to slow down, turning mixology consumption into an elevated sensory ritual.
